Ideas for Holiday Shopping

With the holidays quickly approaching, we would like to give you some suggestions for gifts ranging from a crocheted wine topper for the host of your holiday work party or a pair of cashmere socks for your favorite sister-n-law. Your daughter might appreciate a pair of fingerless gloves while your son is hoping you'll knit him a new pair of felted slippers since the pair from two years ago has seen better days. Stop in and we will show you several patterns that provide quick, yet beautiful results.
Be sure to check out our holiday hours on our website so that you don't find yourself standing outside a locked door on Christmas Eve wishing you bought that gift certificate the week before.

Moving Sale!

As most of you may know, the Yarn Garden will be relocating to 52 West Pomfret St. (just a few doors up the street), hopefully having our doors open by June 1st. In order to make as smooth a transition as possible we will be closed the last two weeks of May (18th-31st).

So, between now and the 18th everything not already marked down will be 20% off. This includes yarn, all books, new titles as well as old favorites, patterns, needles, etc.

We've been very touched by how many of you have told us how much you will miss our current store, but we promise, you will like the new store just as well. It's a great space with a beautiful back yard.

March Madness

How cute is this crocheted basketball set? (posted on Ravelry by Seema Saraf)

Last week we realized that we are not the only knitters that are also interested in college basketball. We had many customers that were buying yarn for projects to work on while watching the basketball tournament. So naturally, we had to somehow incorporate the brackets with a March Madness sale. This Saturday March, 21st all non sale items will be 20% off. For every $25 spent, you will also get to pick a team from our bracket board receiving 4 to 1 odds. For example, if you pick Pitt and they are a #1 seed and they win the tournament, you can receive 4% off your next purchase, conversely if you are a risk taker and pick a # 8 seed that ultimately wins the tournament, you will receive 32% off your next purchase. If you spend more than $25, you can pick more than one team, and increase your odds of winning.

Classes for April will include Intro to Lace, Beginning Crochet, Beginning Knitting, and the Booga Bag. Please see our web site for details, http://www.yarngardenpa.com/.

Lastly, we want to announce that the Yarn Garden will be moving up the street to 52 West Pomfret St. We are thrilled, and hope to be in our new location by June 1st.
